I'm over 9000!!
This is a picture I took of myself during MechaCon this year! I bought a scouter the day before and had to take this picture! lol

So naturally, I had people ask me all day what they scouter said about their power level! Can you guess what I told them? ;D

I've spent the last several weeks trying to figure out a game plan for myself regarding voice acting. At first, I was going to back out of all of my projects and try to start over again after I can buy the equipment I need to have a proper studio of some kind. But instead, I've decided to try to make this work, whatever it takes. Toonami's Shia LaBeouf "JUST DO IT" video has stuck with me for the last few weeks.

"If you're tired of starting over, stop giving up."

So I'm not giving up. If I have to request extra time for lines, so be it. And I'm not going to let these things bum me out anymore like I did before. Sometimes life gets in the way of the stuff you want to do. Accept it and move on. But I'm going to do whatever I can to make this work.

Now, here's what else I've decided recently. I have decided that as soon as I possibly can, I'm moving to Texas so I can audition for anime dubs for FUNimation Entertainment and Sentai Filmworks. It's something I am now 100% committed to doing when I can afford it. Realistically, I'd like to be moved by this time next year. How long will it take before I would get to audition? I don't know. But I can't audition at all until I move, so that has to happen first.

I'm sorry I'm not on very often. Sometimes there are periods of time where I can't be online on my computer and I'm limited to just Twitter through my phone for communication. It's also why I rarely have time for Skype. If anyone needs to get in contact with me for anything, Noting me here or DMing on Twitter or plain old email is the best way to reach me. (I can at least check my email while I'm at break at work).

Thanks for putting up with me! I'll try to figure out a way to be better with this.
Okay, I FINALLY have a chance to sit down and let everyone know what's up.

I was originally going through a period where I just didn't have any motivation to record. I feel like I got over that pretty quickly, only to get hit with a lot of outside stuff like overtime at work. Plus, I spent all of last week in a local theatre helping out as a puppeteer. It wasn't a speaking role or an actual character, but it was my taste of being in a play and it was fun. And I can put that on a resume! lol

I'm been worried about falling behind on some of my projects lately and as much as I don't want to, I may end up having to back out of a few. I think I may have overloaded myself with projects to work on. I'm also trying to figure plans to move and/or rig myself a "studio" to record in. I don't really have anywhere at the moment to record where I feel good about how my records sound due to echoes and whatnot. I have my eye on a soundproof booth I saw on Amazon and would really like to buy it in the near future.

Also, there are still two very big projects I'm trying hard to get into. I'm waiting on one of them to send me audition lines now, and just knowing who all is already confirmed to be in it has me super excited at possibly joining them.

So, that's what the deal is. I'm hoping to get back to recording ASAP, when all this stuff dies down. If I do end up backing out of a project, don't take it personally. I wouldn't have auditioned or asked to join if I didn't want to be part of it. And to end on a good note, I'll be at MechaCon again this year! If you're down in New Orleans on July 17th-19th, be sure to check it out!

Later!
Hello all! Just thought I'd check in so you would know I haven't dropped off the face of the Earth! lol

=======

So, here's the deal...lately, I've been in kind of a mental funk. I haven't been able to bring myself to record anything lately, mostly due to a lot of overtime at work and just being too tired when I get home to feel like doing anything. While work does seem to be heading in a less-busy direction, my desire to record has just been gone as of late. But hopefully I'll get over it soon and get back to work on the scripts I have! (I have 2 in particular I need to work on and I hope to finish them if possible by the beginning of next week.)

On a side note, I also took some much needed time to myself in the form of attending a WWE Live event that was super fun! Got to see a lot of my favorite wrestlers (except for Dean Ambrose...) and even got to meet Sign Guy for a quick pic! Super nice guy!

I've got a few more big trips/events coming up, including two (or maybe more) anime conventions that I'm looking forward to. Also, I'm keeping very close watch on a big project I'll hopefully get to work as it appears to be getting closer to landing a production deal. Not to mention another project I emailed yesterday in which I would get to work with some well known voice actors if the voice director approves of my demo. Fingers crossed!!

So yeah, I haven't disappeared! And hopefully I get my motivation back soon and can get back to voice acting! :)
